The Home of Accoyo Bruxo
Are you looking for world-class suri alpaca genetics? Welcome to the home of Accoyo Bruxo.
Suri Futures has one of the finest herds of suri alpacas in the Western US, based on the legacy of Accoyo Bruxo. His genetics are the foundation of our herd and our fiber production. By "fine" we mean fine fiber, the reason for raising alpacas. We raise suri alpacas for fiber, and are developing a new, sustainable industry for Josephine County Oregon, based on processing alpaca fiber into useful textiles.
If you're looking for breeding stock, we offer bred females and stud males, as well as the important, non-breeding fiber producers.
If you're looking for suri alpaca fiber, we shear about 400 pounds of suri fiber each year. We offer for sale fleeces, yarns and alpaca products, such as the best socks money can buy.
We support 4H to open doors for kids interested in learning more about leadership in sustainable agriculture.
Our farm is located in rural SW Oregon in the Rogue River basin, along the Illinois River near Cave Junction Oregon. The herd is about 80 fine suri alpacas, on 16 acres of pasture. We promote alpaca husbandry practicing sustainable agriculture. This includes practices such as rotation grazing; weed, mud and manure management; soil fertility and animal husbandry in a science-based approach to farming.
We've been honored by the Grants Pass Courier with news coverage of our "Pacapoo" composting program. Please take a moment to visit this link to learn more about this aspect of our sustainable farm
